About Me

I am a developer working out of the Denver Metro area. I started my career by serving in the United States Air Force Reserves, while at the same time learning and working in more creative and technical fields such as custom picture framing and medical billing. I am now combining all of my collective experience with my coding skills to deliver problem-solving solutions that are creative, well thought out, and scalable.

Being able to create things with code is both challenging and enjoyable. I love to take a design idea and use code to turn that idea into a reality with code. Solving those problems and bugs that come up is extremely satisfying. I also find myself interested in learning UI/UX to further improve upon my ability to produce the best user experience.

In my free time I enjoy games of all sorts (board, video and roleplaying), serving the Denver Metro area through volunteer work within the local community, working conventions with my Ghostbusters fan organization, working with the Colorado Festival of Horror, all while finding time for outdoor activities. I have a wide range of interests from fountain pens and journaling, to Doctor Who, hiking and building things with LEGO.

Projects

I have been working very closely with my friends at the Colorado Festival of Horror for the past few months to provide them the best website that I could. We are now on our fourth year and I wanted to provide not only the best, most infromative site for all of our guest but give them something that the Co-Founders and staff members could be happy with. I keep this updated on a weekly to sometimes daily basis, especially now as we are a month out from the convention. Keep an eye on it. More things to come plus some more behinds the scene work to overhaul and improve the site even more. I took a one page confrence template and converted it into what it is now. This project started back in December of 2023 for a January 2024 release.

I needed to save some time when building the wedding website. I could have built this from scratch and started to. There was a point when I realized that I should look into getting a theme. So I purchased the Neela theme and made changes as I needed, as we are not having a traditional wedding but instead a wedding at the Colorado Rennisance Festival in July 2023.

This was the first part of the freelance/pair programming work for stock themes that I started that is a real world project. This is a stock theme for dentists to use along with a little customization on their end. The GitHub Repo for these themes is located under the contractor for this specific project.

This is my second real world project along with a mentor for some pair programming, for use with the same company above that was my freelancing/pair programming. The GitHub repo for these themes is located under the contractor for this specific project that we worked on together, my end was the frontend side.
